Marriages & Civil Partnerships

You can get Married, or hold a Civil Partnership Ceremony at Ashbourne Town Hall.

Town hall can provide an elegant venue for such a ceremony (however you must contact the Registrar's in person to book and cofirm that they can attend your ceremony on (01335) 300575.

For a select intimate ceremony, The Marion Abbot Room accommodates up to 35 guests, or for larger parties, The Ball Room can hold up to 200, or why not have the whole of your special day in one place. Prices will we given upon application.

Other Rooms Available for hire

The Council Chamber:- With a large oval table, this room will seat up to .. people, it is ideal for conferences and meetings etc.

The Committee Room:- A smaller, more intimate, room with table, suitable for small meetings.

The Main Hall:- Suitable for coffee mornings, exhibitions, clothes/shoe sales, a large room suitable for an assortment of events, also includes usage of the kitchen and other facilities.

The Ball Room:- Also suitable for parties, dances, concerts, seminars, and sporting activites (a new audio system has recently been installed in The Ball Room , thus making it an excellent choice for any musical event). With recently re-painted badminton lines, and a 'sprung' floor, this is an ideal venue for almost any sport. Currently there are badminton clubs, and karate classes using the room on a weekly basis.

The Ballroom, as it would be, set up for a Wedding Ceremony.

Marion Abbot Room:- Ideal for a small intimate wedding, it also incorporates a fully operational bar (curtained off to the back of the room), which can be used in conjunction with The Ball Room for a fully licensed 'do'.

Additional Information:-

The Town Hall's rooms are available for hire by commercial and community organisations, as well as individuals.

The Town Hall operates a strictly "No Smoking" policy anywhere on its premises.

There is access to the first floor by chairlift.
